Permanent Supportive Housing

Permanent Supportive Housing Keeping Families Together Program (KFTP)

Realizing that homeless families were in need of help to regain self-sufficiency, First Day opened its Newlin Avenue facility in 2010, originally offering transitional housing for families within walking distance of our main site’s services. With one house, two apartments, a courtyard, and a garage, the Newlin site became a permanent supportive housing facility for three to four families in 2012. Similar to our signature RFHP, KFTP provides housing links to supportive services that address the family’s housing crisis and creates the ability to become self-sufficient once again.
